Common Sense Maps

This is neat – the Common Sense Map Project. I wish I'd thought of something like this, it's a fascinating social psychology experiment.

Basically it maps out people perceptions of where they live, which is somewhat different from where they live on a map.

Interesting observations: The NYC Metro area extends north all the way to Albany and West almost out to Rochester. Most of New England is Bostonian. At least so far – the authors say its slated to change greatly with more votes (wouldn't surprise me).
