Mozilla makes $72 million

So it turns out that the Mozilla Corporation, which distributes the Firefox browser, made $72 million last year, off of a product that they give away for free.

Now, I've argued this point for a good long while now, whenever people have argued with me about it, when I say that music/movies/TV content ought to be available freely and un-DRMed over the internet. The objection that always comes up is something to the effect of the owners can't do it for free. People just can't intuitively grasp how you can make money from intellectual property by giving it away; but this is a sterling example of a company doing just that.
